Campground Review Lite: Lowry Campground

Lowry Campground is a small campground in Summit County, Colorado. The sites have beautiful views but are very close together. Ultimately, it is our least favorite campground in the area. But it is still a good option if you want to be in Summit County (especially if you need electric hookups).

Campground Review: Prospector Campground

Recently, we had the opportunity to stay at Prospector Campground; right on the reservoir and just west of Keystone Ski Resort. Overall, we’d highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for a great few days in Summit County!

Campground Review: Estes Park Campground at East Portal

After we realized that we may not be cut out to be dispersed campers, we were very lucky to have a backup site at the Estes Park Campground at East Portal, near Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park, Colorado.

Overall, we really enjoyed our time at this campground and we would recommend it, if only for its location alone. It is only 11 minutes by car to the east portal of Rocky Mountain National Park, and you can hike into the park from the campground!
